Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Low rain chances and above average temperatures are on tap once again for today and tomorrow, as a strong mid-level ridge persists over the southeastern US. On Saturday, a weak surface boundary will push into the deep south and linger across the Florida Peninsula through the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will be back into the forecast for Saturday through Monday as a result. However, the late night timing of the primary and backup launch windows will do us some favors, as most of the thunderstorm activity should be over with, leaving nocturnal cloud cover in its wake. The primary concern for both the primary and backup windows will be the Cumulus Cloud Rule and Surface Electric Field Rules.
