Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

The subtropical ridge axis will push north of the area today and tomorrow, putting the Space Coast in a pattern of onshore flow. In this regime, morning showers are possible, but only a narrow window for thunderstorms over the Spaceport as the sea breeze progresses inland. This onshore flow will deepen over the weekend, increasing the chance for brief morning showers over the Spaceport, while decreasing the threat of thunderstorms as the sea breeze will hastily move inland by early afternoon each day. The primary launch weather concern for late Sunday or Monday evening will be the Cumulus Cloud Rule associated with onshore moving showers.
