Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Another cool, clear day is expected in Central Florida as winds become southerly ahead of an approaching low pressure area moving along the Gulf Coast States. Sunday will bring considerable cloudiness, breezy conditions, and rain showers with isolated thunderstorms along the Space Coast as the low pressure area moves into the Carolinas while dragging a cold front through Florida. Rain and thunder chances will drop as the front passes in the afternoon, but winds will remain gusty for some time. Clouds will diminish through the day Monday at the Spaceport, leaving gusty winds as the primary launch weather threat. On Tuesday, high pressure will settle overhead making for a chilly morning, but excellent launch weather conditions.
