Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A strong low pressure area is sliding up the Atlantic Seaboard today as another low pressure area forms over Texas. This leaves Central Florida with cool, mostly clear weather between the two systems. Winds will become southerly along the Space Coast on Saturday, ahead of the approaching low pressure area moving along the Gulf Coast States. Sunday will bring considerable cloudiness, breezy conditions, and rain showers with isolated thunderstorms over the Spaceport as the low pressure area moves into the Carolinas while dragging a cold front through Florida. Rain and thunder chances will drop as the front passes late in the afternoon, but winds will remain gusty for some time. Clouds will diminish through the day Monday, leaving gusty winds as the primary launch weather threat. On Tuesday, high pressure will settle overhead making for a cold morning, but excellent launch weather conditions.
