Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A foggy Saturday morning will turn into a beautiful, sunny day across much of the Florida Peninsula. A lingering tropical trailing trough, left behind the long-departed T.D. Nicole may still spark isolated showers and a thunderstorm or two across Central and South Florida this afternoon, with activity diminishing after sunset. On Sunday, a cold front will push through Central Florida mid-day and stall across South Florida by the following morning. The front will bring a wind surge and a broken band of isolated showers Sunday, with a drop in humidity behind the boundary. Winds will quickly veer onshore Monday, bringing a chance of coastal showers through the day and night. On Tuesday, a (non-tropical) gulf low near Louisiana will slide gradually into the Deep South. The Florida Peninsula will be in the warm sector of the system into Tuesday night, causing temperatures and humidity values to rise. However, the system will likely be too far away to otherwise impact local weather conditions across the Spaceport early Wednesday morning. As a result, the only concern during the primary launch window will be the Cumulus Cloud Rule.
