Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Cooler stable air is in place through the weekend. For MLP Roll today, winds will gust around 22 kt from the north-northeast all day with a slight chance for an isolated shower moving onshore this afternoon. Winds remain breezy through Sunday as they veer to the east-northeast. By Launch Day Monday, the pressure gradient relaxes with winds from the east at 10-15 kts and a few cumulus clouds moving onshore. Therefore, the POV is 10% for the Cumulus Cloud Rule. For the backup day Tuesday, the pressure gradient tightens slightly increasing winds back to 15-20 kts with scattered cumulus clouds and an isolated shower possible. The POV for the backup day is 20% for the Cumulus Cloud Rule.
