Forecast Discussion
No significant changes to today’s update. The combination of deep offshore flow and the early morning launch window will bring favorable conditions for both the primary and backup days. The weak boundary that was in Central Florida yesterday has now pushed well to our north as a warm front. Today, shower and storms along the Space Coast will diminish after sunset, then isolated offshore showers will likely develop over the Gulf Stream overnight. Any activity will stay over the Atlantic waters in the early morning hours Monday due to the westerly flow. The primary concern for the primary launch day is the small risk of a Cumulus Cloud Rule violation. The backup day looks very similar to the primary day, with continued westerly flow keeping any shower activity offshore overnight. Both the POV and primary concern are the same as the primary day.
