Forecast Discussion
The combination of deep offshore flow and the early morning launch window will allow for generally favorable weather both the primary and backup days. A weak boundary will slowly drift southward into Central Florida today, but will begin to push back northwards as a warm front tomorrow. This weekend, afternoon shower and storm activity along the Space Coast will diminish after sunset, then offshore showers will develop over the Gulf Stream overnight. Most of the activity will stay over the Atlantic waters overnight and early morning due to the westerly flow. The primary concern for the primary launch day is the small risk of a Cumulus Cloud Rule violation. The backup day looks very similar to the primary day, with continued westerly flow keeping any shower activity offshore overnight. Both the POV and primary concern are the same as the primary day.
