Forecast Discussion
No significant changes to today’s update. This week will feature another active weather pattern across the Space Coast, as the Atlantic surface ridge has shifted back southwards. Tomorrow, the mid-level ridge that helped limit the storm coverage last week will continue to break down as a trough digs into the Southeast. This mid-level support, combined with deep moisture and the southwest flow, will bring a high coverage of thunderstorms across East Central Florida on both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. The storms and associated cloud cover will likely persist into the opening of the window, and slowly dissipate as we approach midnight. For both the primary and backup days, the POV is significantly higher at the start of the window and decrease as the window progresses, with the main concerns being the cloud cover associated with the evening showers and storms.
