Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

The Atlantic surface ridge axis will remain across far south Florida tomorrow into Monday, as an upper-level trough persists over the US East Coast. This will keep our region in a deep southwesterly flow regime characterized by a high threat of afternoon and evening thunderstorms into the early portions of the week. In particular, the highest risk for weather violations will be during the front end of each window when active thunderstorms and their associated cloud cover are likely to be in close proximity to the pad. Later in the window, thunderstorms are expected to steadily weaken or move off the coast and into the Atlantic, with remnant cloud cover across the area gradually thinning.
