Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A frontal boundary is moving through the Central Gulf Coast States, while conditions along the Space Coast remain mostly clear with southeasterly winds. The front will make its way across Central Florida on Friday, bringing rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, but quickly push through the Spaceport. Winds will become northwesterly by early afternoon, bringing colder air into the region. On Saturday, expect mostly clear skies with gusty winds and temperatures in the 40s at the Spaceport. The only weather concern for a Saturday evening launch is Liftoff Winds, which will diminish through the window. On Sunday, skies will remain mostly clear, and winds will drop off allowing morning temperatures to drop into the mid 30s. The primary weather concern for a Sunday evening launch attempt is the Cumulus Cloud Rule.
