Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

High pressure remains in control of the weather across Central Florida for another day, keeping pleasant conditions with light winds and mostly clear skies. On Thursday, the high pressure area will slide off into the Atlantic as a frontal boundary moves into the Central Gulf Coast States. Conditions along the Space Coast remain mostly clear as winds switch southeasterly. The front will make its way across Central Florida on Friday, bringing rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, but quickly push through the Spaceport. Winds will become northwesterly by early evening, bringing colder, drier air into the region. On Saturday, expect mostly clear skies with gusty winds and temperatures in the mid-40s at the Spaceport. The only weather concern for a Saturday evening launch is Liftoff Winds. On Sunday, skies will remain mostly clear, and winds will drop off allowing temperatures to drop into the low-40s. The primary weather concern for a Sunday evening launch attempt is the Cumulus Cloud Rule
