Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Favorable weather looks to be in place for the launch attempt Wednesday night. A weak disturbance will bring a slight chance for showers today, but this feature should be out of the area later tonight and is not expected to be a concern for tomorrow night. Expect partly cloudy skies in the area so there is a slight concern for the Cumulus Cloud Rule, but the overall coverage should diminish through the late afternoon and early evening hours tomorrow. In the event of a 24-hour delay, very favorable weather will continue for launch. Expect onshore flow to continue and speeds are expected to be around 10 mph. Sky cover will be minimal so there is only a slight chance for a Cumulus Cloud Rule violation.
