Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A strong cold front is forecast to move across the Florida peninsula Friday night into early Saturday morning. Moisture ahead of the front will remain rather limited so we are not expected to see widespread precipitation, although scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible. After frontal passage, expect brisk north winds with sustained values of 10-15 mph with gusts to around 20 mph. There could be a few lingering clouds around early in the day but will yield to clear skies through the count. A few cumulus clouds could linger around so the primary concern will be the Cumulus Cloud Rule. In the event of a 24-hour delay, excellent weather is expected across the Space Coast region. Northeast winds early in the day will veer to the southeast. Speeds will once again be in the 10 to 15 mph range with gusts to around 20 mph possible early in the count, diminishing slightly through the count. A few cumulus clouds are possible so the primary weather concern will be from the Cumulus Cloud Rule.
