Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A ridge axis over the southeastern United States will bring breezy, onshore flow and a slight chance for showers to the region for the next several days. On both the primary and backup day, the possibility exists of a passing shower being a flight through concern, but an inversion aloft should keep most cloud tops below constraint. Liftoff winds appear likely to be the primary concern on Wednesday, but the ridge axis is expected to shift southward enough by Thursday to significantly reduce the likelihood of the threshold being exceeded. Of note, intense solar storming has elevated proton flux levels, but they should be returning to baseline levels by the opening of the window.
