Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

The cold front currently situated across North-Central Florida will slowly push through the Florida Peninsula tonight and early Monday morning, reaching South Florida by midday. Clouds aloft will be present, but latest guidance indicates they will be well above -20C, so the Thick Cloud Layers Rule has been yanked from POV concerns and as a result, POV has dropped. Strong northerly winds behind the front will be present but the lack of convection should keep winds below threshold. For the backup launch window Tuesday, high pressure will build across the Deep South, bringing dry conditions and mostly sunny skies to the Spaceport. Winds will still be breezy out of the north but there will be little concern for LCC violation.
