Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A front will stall across north/central FL today, with a small chance of showers at times throughout the period. A surface low will then develop along the stalled front in the Gulf, and as the low moves east across N FL, it will help the cold front sag southeast across central FL on Tuesday. Showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm may develop ahead of the front, with improving conditions behind the front. Breezy winds are expected in stronger storms, with gusts near 30 mph possible. Weather conditions currently look worse at the beginning of the primary launch window, then improve towards the end of the window as the front shifts south of the area. More favorable weather is expected during the backup launch opportunity as high pressure builds in from the north.
