Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

A strong high-pressure area will remain to our north this week, creating a tight pressure gradient with Hurricane Eta to the south. This will result in persistent, breezy onshore flow along the Space Coast. Although a few low-topped light rain showers are possible Thursday over the Spaceport, the clouds will not be tall enough to be a concern other than creating a temporary increase in the already gusty winds. The primary weather concern for a Thursday evening launch attempt is Liftoff Winds. On Friday, moisture will deepen, creating with a better chance for coastal showers. The primary weather concerns remain Liftoff Winds with the addition of the Cumulus Cloud Rule associated with the showers.
