Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Forecast Discussion: High pressure has settled over central Florida, providing favorable weather conditions throughout the day today. With light winds overnight, there’s a chance shallow mist may decrease visibility in the early morning hours on Thursday morning. The surface high begins to break down on Thursday as a weak frontal boundary approaches in the afternoon. No significant precipitation is expected with this boundary. There is a very small chance of a Cumulus Cloud Rule violation for the primary launch window, and a slightly greater chance for violation for the backup day due to increased offshore shower activity. Solar weather will be an additional watch item, as an increased probability of X-ray flares are forecasted throughout the forecast period.
