Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Forecast Discussion: A cold front will likely bring isolated showers and thunderstorms to the Cape Thursday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may produce strong winds. After the front passes late Thursday night, winds will shift onshore and strengthen, possibly above liftoff constraint. Although winds may still be slightly above constraint at the opening of the window, they are expected to gradually weaken through the morning. Additionally, there will be a small risk of a risk of Cumulus Cloud Rule violation on the primary day, if any showers develop and move onshore. On the backup day, continued onshore flow, possibly enhanced by remnants of the frontal boundary to our south, will increase the risk of Cumulus Cloud Rule violations during the window.
