Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Forecast Discussion: Surface high pressure across the Southeast will continue breezy northerly flow across the Spaceport through mid-week, with winds diminishing by the end of the week. Although dry conditions will persist today, coastal showers may develop on Thursday, some of which could move near the launch pad during the primary launch window. Additionally, mid-level clouds may approach the region early Thursday, possibly overlapping with the primary launch window, as well. Given this, there is a low risk of a Cumulus Cloud Rule and Thick Cloud Layers rule violation Thursday morning. Conditions improve for the back-up opportunity with less of a risk of a Cumulus Cloud Rule and Thick Cloud Layers Rule violation Friday morning. However, elevated winds and seas could generate a low to moderate risk for the booster recovery location.
