Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Forecast Discussion: Conditions will quickly deteriorate this afternoon as a cold front moves across the area. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, with isolated showers possibly lingering overnight. Winds will quickly strengthen behind the front, with peak gusts near 40 kts possible this evening. Winds will remain elevated during the primary launch window, then begin to diminish through the day Sunday. By the back-up launch window, conditions will remain breezy, but less critical as high pressure builds in from the north and the aforementioned cold front stalls out across South FL. Cumulus clouds could create a small issue for both launch opportunities, with liftoff winds remaining the main probability of violation.
