Forecast Discussion

Space Launch Delta 45

Forecast Discussion: Surface high pressure off the MidAtlantic coast will continue onshore flow today. By the end of the week, the ridge will build further south, helping to switch morning flow to become light southwesterly Friday and Saturday. This should lead to a lower coverage of showers and thunderstorms in the mornings, with an increasing risk towards the late morning and afternoon. If the ridge is slower to build south, southeasterly flow could linger and increase chances of precipitation Friday. Given this possibility, there is a slightly higher risk of a Cumulus Cloud Rule violation on Friday compared to Saturday.
